What are Buddies Days?

​

The program is run by a group of volunteer adults, usually aged between 16 and 35, who one Saturday every month, volunteer their time to take disadvantaged children on outings to places and venues they may not normally have the opportunity of going to. The program is based on offering support to these children and provide an alternative role model and giving them a true hand up in life. The program caters to serve on a personal level, providing self-development for both children and volunteers.



Conditions for Buddies Day Leaders

• Volunteers must be over 16 years of age

• Must have completed a Buddies Day Training Session

• Must have registered to volunteer with the St Vincent de Paul Society QLD

• Have or be willing to obitain a Positive Notice Blue Card (if over 18)
